Anyone know of a female equivalent to Castaneda's Don Juan?

I am looking for books written by or about wise women, sorceresses, female shamans and witches, or a way to contact such women who are alive and practicing, preferably in Europe. This is because I seem to have no problem coming across male teachers (Gurdjieff, Maharaj, Castaneda's Don Juan, Jung and Oriental masters) but haven't so far come across women of the same calibre. I know they exist, but it may be that female knowledge is different to male and therefore less suitable to put into a book or even to advertise to the world.
