Should I get dead space 2?

Dead space two does follow the first dead space however there is a mini clip in the menu that summarizeses the events of DS1 for you so you do not need to play it. DS2 is a very awesome game with a vinterestingting/ fun online mode. the campaign is very awesome and you will want to play it multiple times. DS2 is not very scary just gory and only on occasion does something just appear in front of you. its not that scary.
