How much is a 360 motor for a 71 Ford pickup worth?

I put a brand new engine in a 71 ford pickup. It was a 360 short block rebuilt motor I bought at shucks 8 years ago. I let another friend of mine borrow it and she drove it off a bank and the truck is all smashed up and totaled. The engine is still good, but I haven't started it since, and this was 8 years ago, right after it was put in. What is it worth? It has pretty much no miles, but what harm can it cause having sat for so long?
