Cost of owning a horse?

Well right now the alfalfa bale runs about 14 dollars and they go through one approximately every 2 weeks and on top of that you have to buy a blanket for the winter and a fly mask for the summer...medication to have on hand for cuts or scs...Horseshoes, Saddles and little thing here and there...Best to wait till the summer when the bale drops down to like 7 dollars so everything else seems manageable
